COTEK SMPS (including AK, AE and AEK-3000-LV & HV) Series expect to complete 62368-1 safety update before 31-Mar-2020

December 2020 is the Date of Withdrawal (DoW) of the standards to supersede IEC 60950-1. The new standard is IEC 62368, which will replace 60950 (IT) for enclosed & external power supplies. IEC 62368-1 was published in Europe during the second half of 2014. Originally, the DoW was June 2019, but was changed to December 2020.

COTEK as a leading wide-programmable power supply manufacturer, it is important for us to make sure that we always held approvals with continuous update to fulfill Global market demands.  It is also important for product designers to recognize that the new standards apply not only to the end product, but also to major components and subsystems like power supplies.

COTEK is ready to support our global customers with the transition from 60950-1 to 62368-1.  In fact, many of our products already carry the 62368-1 certification, including AE-800 and AEK-3000-HV Series (with DC output voltage support up to 400VDC); this is the best way to avoid being caught out on the date of withdrawal. 

For the Rest of other models (complete AK, AE, and AEK Series), we have already complete TUV CB update to 62368-1 and we expect to update UL 62368-1 for all the other product series before first Quarter end of Yr. 2020.
